Today I have created a Venn Diagram to compare the Harbor Bridge here in New Zealand and the Harbor Bridge in Sydney. From this I have learnt that the Harbor bridge in Sydney can be used for special events like the Opera and Vivid Events. The similes between these two bridges is that they both have colorful lights that can be used to celebrate special days, weeks and years. Both of them can hold many vehicles such as trucks, cars, vans and motor bikes. They both help people drive their vehicles from point A to point B. If there were no bridges around people here in New Zealand would use punts and long chains, sailing boats or even swim over to the other side.
I am a Year 8 student at Panmure Bridge School in Auckland, NZ. I am in Learning Space 2 and my teachers are Ms Kirkpatrick and Mrs Anderson.

Our Skeletal System
Today for inquiry our task was to get into a group of four or five... my group was Angela, Hajera, Chavda and Joel (including me)... In our groups we collaborated and worked hard to create two human figurines out of play doh to compare or make a comparison of having no tooth picks or bones and having bones. The first looked very flat and weak, the second looked very bulky and strong. Our groups tried to make the boneless figurine stand but couldn't... We then tried out the other figurine and it stood still.
Why Animals And Humans Need Bones:
Why? because we would end up in big blob... we wouldn't even be able or have the ability to move freely! this is why us humans and animals really need bones... here is a more scientific word (I'd think that nurses and doctors use this word too!) and it is... the
skeletal system... There is also a short photo animation of my group putting and making the figurine stand... and the bulky one sit on the white board...

In order to survive or keep alive you MUST have these seven (7) life processes. Before we did this we talked about the things that could be and aren't alive... like plants, cars, chairs other thing you think could be and can't/aren't alive.

How To Become An Agent Of Change
This week our class's main focus was how to become an agent of change. To find out how to become an agent of change was to find the main thing that you find something that can change about your learning. The main thing that I am going to try to do this year is to complete tasks that are set for me everyday. The other thing I'm going to try hard to do this year is to have the confidence to speak in front of people. How are you going to become an agent of change in your learning?

Year 7 Speeches - My Speech For Sports Leader
Hi my name is Viva,
I think I would make a great sports leader because I am active, respectful and encouraging. The main reason I chose to be the sports leader for 2018 is because I love talking and sharing exciting news about sports, sports has been my buddy ever since I was a little girl. People said that “whatever sports you try out you will never make it into the finals” but I said to myself that “you'll never know until you try!” So I just ignored everything they had said and carried on playing sports! They all ended up with nothing to do but put people down. That’s why I’m here to tell you that you’ll never know until you try! So please
VOTE for me to be your sports leader for 2018. Thank you for listening and don’t forget that “you’ll never know until you try!”.
Today I have said my speech in front of the whole class, I was nervous when I first said "Hi". I felt like I was going to drop the microphone. At the end of the speech I stopped feeling nervous and sat down with the people that have finished their speech. I was revealed when I was finished saying my speech. But anyways as it says in my speech "you'll never know until you try" I kept saying it over and over again on the way back to class. I found it very interesting that Shakaia (my class mate) was the only one that was in for manaiakalani leader!

Fire Safety
As part of our inquiry we walked up to the Mt Wellington/Panmure fire station to take a look at the tools and to talk about what they do. Norman was the man that was introducing us to the tools. We all sat down on the concrete to watch them cut the roof of and take all the doors off. I found quite noisy and fun.

Kiwi Can Session
Today we had our Kiwi Can session with Mr Malu and Mrs Latoia. We talked about taking risks. The word risk defines the word chance. Our warm up game was called Bip Bop Bounce. We had to split up into two group so the boys had their own circle and the girls had their own. The rules for this game is that if the person in the middle of the circle said to any person in the circle "bip bop bounce"... then that person has to say "bang" before that person ever said "bounce" to stay safe from loosing. The other warm up game was called Hand Soccer. This game was very fun and hard at the same time because you had to use you hand to touch or hit the ball and also trying to hit the ball into the goal was harder than I thought! because there were a whole lot of people in the way. These activities were just like excising and they were fun.

How Maui Slowed The Sun (Te Ra The Sun).
I have created a comic on how Maui slowed Te Ra the sun using story board that. I found it hard finding the scene (Back-round/Settings) and also trying to find what each brother would say to one another. I found it interesting using story board that.

How Long It Takes For Things To Biograde
This shows how long things take to bio grade and what bio grades (breaks down). It also shows how many years things take to break down. We have put on a variety of things that biodegrade from newspaper to leather shoes. Glass bottles was far the biggest but it couldn't fit properly.
Today Shakaia and I were looking at charts. We chose to work on 'how long things take to biograde'. The gragh here shows how long it takes for thing to break down, and also what the items are that break down.
